Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Moverly when you book a move: how bookings work, what you and the mover each commit to, pricing, liability and governing law.

Last updated: Effective from: Version: 1.0

Contents

By using Moverly — whether through our website or any associated application — you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Who we are

Moverly is a brand operated by Tinkerbase Technology, a sole establishment registered and licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates under an eTrader licence.

When these Terms refer to "Moverly," "we," "us," or "our," they mean Tinkerbase Technology operating under the Moverly brand. When they refer to "you" or "your," they mean any person using the Moverly platform as a customer.

Our registered address is in Dubai, UAE. For all legal and business correspondence, contact us at support@moverly.ae.

What Moverly is

Moverly is an online marketplace that connects customers who need home or office moving services in Dubai with independent professional mover and packer companies.

Moverly is a platform, not a moving company. The physical moving service is carried out by independent third-party mover companies who are contracted with Moverly. Moverly facilitates the booking, payment, and coordination — the mover carries out the work.

This means:

  • The mover company you are matched with is an independent business, not a Moverly employee.
  • Moverly sets the standards, pricing, and vetting requirements that movers must meet.
  • Your contract for the physical move is between you and the mover company, facilitated through Moverly.
  • Moverly is responsible for the platform, the booking process, and the standards we uphold — not for the physical act of moving.

Using Moverly

To use Moverly you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be a resident of or located in Dubai, UAE at the time of booking.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when making a booking.
  • Have the authority to book a move for the property you are moving from.

You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@moverly.ae.

Moverly reserves the right to refuse service or cancel bookings if we have reason to believe that these conditions are not met, or if the safety of our mover partners or their team is at risk.

Bookings and confirmation

A booking is made when you complete the checkout process on Moverly — selecting your move details, confirming your item list, agreeing to these terms, and completing payment.

Your booking is confirmed when you receive a booking reference number on screen and via WhatsApp. Until that reference number is issued, no booking exists.

The booking reference number is your proof of booking. Keep it. You will need it for any queries, changes, or cancellation requests.

Moverly will assign a verified mover to your booking. The mover company name will not be disclosed until your booking is confirmed and paid. This is to protect both parties and prevent direct contact outside the platform.

Your confirmed booking is a fixed-price commitment. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. We do not add charges on moving day.

Pricing and payment

All prices on Moverly are displayed in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of all platform fees. There are no hidden charges.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Moverly does not store your card details. Stripe processes and holds your card information in accordance with their own security standards.

The charge on your bank or credit card statement will appear as MOVERLY.AE.

All prices are displayed and charged in UAE Dirhams (AED). Moverly does not accept any other currency.

At this time, the only accepted payment method on Moverly is payment by credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard) processed securely through Stripe. Additional methods may be introduced in future.

Moverly does not accept cash, bank transfers, or any payment made directly to the mover team. All payments must be completed through the Moverly platform before the move proceeds. Any payment made outside the platform is not authorised by Moverly and is entirely at your own risk.

Moverly reserves the right to update pricing on the platform at any time. Price changes will not affect confirmed bookings — the price at the time of your booking confirmation is locked.

Promotional and discount codes may be applied at checkout. Codes are single-use, non-transferable, and cannot be applied retrospectively. Moverly reserves the right to withdraw promotional codes at any time.

Cancellation and changes

Cancellation by you:

  • More than 24 hours before your move: Full refund. No charge.
  • Less than 24 hours before your move: A cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking value will be retained. The remainder will be refunded to your original payment method within 7 working days.
  • No-show or cancellation on the day: No refund.

Date changes: You may change your move date at no charge if requested at least 48 hours before the original date, subject to mover availability. Date changes within 48 hours are treated as cancellations.

Cancellation by the mover: In the rare event that your assigned mover cancels, Moverly will either reassign another verified mover or issue a full refund. We will notify you as soon as possible and do everything we can to fulfil your booking.

All cancellation requests must be submitted through the Moverly platform or by emailing support@moverly.ae with your booking reference number. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method only and will be processed within 7 working days. Refunds are not issued in cash.

Your responsibilities

To ensure your move goes smoothly, you agree to:

  • Provide an accurate item list. The item list you submit at booking is used by your mover to prepare and size the job correctly. If the actual volume of items on move day is significantly more than listed, the mover may request a revised quote for the additional scope. You can accept the revised quote and proceed, or decline — in which case the booking will be cancelled on that day as a customer-caused cancellation and is non-refundable. Moverly is not responsible for any mismatch between the customer's submitted item list and the actual items present on move day.
  • Be present at the move. You or an authorised adult representative must be present at both the collection and delivery address at the agreed time.
  • Provide access. You are responsible for arranging parking, building access, elevator booking, and any permissions required at both addresses.
  • Secure valuables. Jewellery, cash, important documents, and items of sentimental value should be kept with you and not given to the mover team for packing.
  • Disclose unusual items. If you are moving a piano, safe, gym equipment, antiques, or any item requiring specialist handling, you must flag this at booking. Failure to disclose may result in additional charges or the item being left behind.
  • Ensure items are legally owned. You confirm that all items being moved are legally yours or that you have the owner's permission to move them.

Building access and move permits (NOC)

Most residential and commercial buildings in Dubai require formal permission for moving in or moving out. This is commonly referred to as a Move Out Notice or Move In Notice and is issued by the building's security office or building management company.

It is entirely your responsibility as the customer to obtain the required move-out permission from your current building and move-in permission from your new building before your move date. Moverly and the assigned mover cannot obtain these permits on your behalf.

You should arrange these permits as early as possible — many buildings require 24 to 72 hours advance notice and some require a refundable deposit before permitting the move.

If access to either the move-out or move-in address is denied on the day due to a missing or invalid permit:

  • The mover team will wait for a reasonable period not exceeding 30 minutes.
  • If access cannot be gained within that period, the booking will be treated as a same-day cancellation.
  • A same-day cancellation due to access denial is non-refundable.

Moverly strongly recommends confirming your NOC status with both buildings at least 48 hours before your move date and sharing confirmation with your mover team on the day.

Parking: You must ensure a designated or reserved parking spot is available close to the building entrance at both addresses on move day. If suitable parking is not available within a reasonable distance, the mover team may be unable to proceed and the booking will be treated as a customer-caused cancellation with no refund.

Service lifts: Where your building has a service lift, you are responsible for reserving it for the duration of your move. Movers are not obligated to carry large or heavy items via stairs. If the service lift is unavailable, out of service, or under scheduled maintenance on your move date, please inform Moverly in advance so we can reschedule.

Customer-caused hindrances: If the mover team arrives and cannot proceed due to issues at your end — missing NOC, no parking, lift out of service, inaccessible entrance, or any other access issue not disclosed at booking — the mover team will wait up to 30 minutes. If unresolved, the booking is cancelled that day and is non-refundable.

Mover conduct and vetting

All mover companies listed on Moverly are independently vetted before being accepted onto the platform. Our vetting process includes:

  • Verification of valid UAE trade licence.
  • Review of equipment and vehicle standards.
  • Background checks on key personnel.
  • Signing of Moverly's Mover Partner Agreement, which includes service standards and conduct requirements.

Despite our vetting, Moverly cannot guarantee the conduct of mover companies or their teams at all times. Customers should exercise reasonable care with their belongings during the move process.

If you experience unprofessional conduct by a mover team, please report it to us within 24 hours via support@moverly.ae. We take all reports seriously and will investigate accordingly.

Damage and liability

Moverly requires all mover companies to handle your belongings with care and to operate professionally at all times.

In the event of damage to your belongings during a move:

  • You must report any damage within 24 hours of the move completing. Reports made after this period may not be considered.
  • You must provide photographic evidence of the damage and, where possible, photographs taken before the move showing the item's prior condition.
  • Moverly will investigate the report and engage with the mover company on your behalf.
  • Resolution may include repair, replacement contribution, or a partial refund, at Moverly's discretion following investigation.

Items not included in your submitted item list are not covered. Items with pre-existing damage documented in your move photos are not covered. Items of extreme value (artwork, antiques, jewellery) should be moved separately by specialist handlers and are outside the scope of a standard Moverly booking.

Moverly operates a Letter of Understanding with all mover partners covering their responsibility for items under their care. This is not an insurance policy. For high-value or irreplaceable items, we strongly recommend arranging separate specialist insurance cover.

Missing items must be reported within 48 hours of the move completing.

Booking protection

Every Moverly booking includes what we call Booking Protection. This means:

  • If your mover cancels, we will reassign or refund — your booking is never simply left with no solution.
  • The price confirmed at booking is the price you pay. No moving-day price changes.
  • Photos and videos uploaded during booking serve as a documented condition record before the move begins.
  • All movers on the platform have signed our Partner Agreement committing to professional conduct and care of belongings.

Booking Protection is a service commitment, not an insurance product. Moverly is not a licensed insurer and does not provide financial insurance cover.

Our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Moverly's total liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific booking.

Moverly is not liable for:

  • Delays caused by traffic, access issues, or circumstances outside the mover's reasonable control.
  • Damage to items not included in your booking item list.
  • Loss or damage to cash, jewellery, or documents.
  • Any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, or government restrictions.

Pets

All pets must be secured and kept away from work areas for the full duration of the move. For the safety of our mover teams, pets should not have access to areas where packing, loading, or unloading is taking place.

If a pet poses a safety risk to the mover team — including aggressive behaviour, excessive noise causing distress, or physical obstruction of the work area — the mover team has the right to pause or refuse the move. If the situation cannot be resolved within 30 minutes of arrival, the booking will be cancelled as a customer-caused hindrance and will be non-refundable.

Customers with large or reactive pets should arrange for them to be secured in a separate room or cared for elsewhere on move day. Please mention pets at booking so we can note this for your mover.

Items we do not move

The following items are outside the scope of any Moverly booking and cannot be moved under any circumstances:

  • Medical equipment — hospital beds, oxygen machines, dialysis equipment, ventilators, mobility aids, and any clinical or life-support machinery. These require specialist licensed medical movers.
  • Patients or individuals — Moverly moves household and office goods only. We do not transport people.
  • Controlled or illegal substances — including narcotics, unlicensed medicines, or any item prohibited under UAE law.
  • Weapons and ammunition — regardless of licensing status.
  • Hazardous materials — flammable liquids, gas canisters, explosives, and corrosive chemicals.
  • Live animals — pets must be transported separately by the customer.
  • Perishable food — not covered under our standard booking.

If prohibited items are found during a move, the mover team may refuse to handle them and, where required by UAE law, Moverly reserves the right to report the matter to the relevant authorities.

Direct dealings with movers

Moverly is a marketplace — we connect customers with professional mover companies. All bookings, services, payments, and communications should take place through the Moverly platform.

Moverly does not approve, endorse, or accept any responsibility for services, payments, commitments, or arrangements made directly between a customer and a mover company outside of a confirmed Moverly booking. This includes additional services agreed on the day, cash payments made to the mover team, and any future moves booked directly with the mover.

We strongly advise customers not to share or request personal contact information — including WhatsApp numbers or phone numbers — from mover team members for the purpose of future direct bookings. Any direct dealings are outside Moverly's responsibility and we cannot protect either party if a dispute arises.

The Moverly platform protects both customers and movers through fixed pricing, documented bookings, and a clear resolution process. Working outside the platform removes those protections for everyone.

Extreme weather and exceptional circumstances

In rare cases, conditions in Dubai may make it unsafe or unlawful to carry out a move — including but not limited to severe flash flooding, extreme weather warnings issued by UAE authorities, declared public health emergencies such as a pandemic, or any directive issued by the UAE government restricting movement or commercial operations.

In such cases:

  • Moverly will follow all applicable UAE government guidelines and directives in effect at the time.
  • Affected bookings will be suspended and customers contacted as soon as possible.
  • Customers will be offered a full rebooking at no extra charge, or a full refund.
  • No cancellation fee will be applied for genuine government-declared exceptional circumstances.

Whether conditions qualify as exceptional will be based on official communications from UAE government bodies and Dubai authorities. Ordinary weather such as light rain, regular traffic, or personal preference does not qualify.

Prohibited use

You agree not to use Moverly to:

  • Move items that are illegal under UAE law, including controlled substances, weapons, or counterfeit goods.
  • Transport animals, people, or perishable goods not declared at booking.
  • Make fraudulent bookings or abuse promotional codes.
  • Contact mover companies directly to arrange work outside the Moverly platform.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse mover team members.
  • Attempt to access or interfere with Moverly's systems or data.

Violations may result in immediate cancellation of your booking without refund and permanent suspension from the platform. Moverly reserves the right to report violations to the relevant UAE authorities where required by law.

All content on the Moverly platform — including the name, logo, design, text, and software — is owned by or licensed to Tinkerbase Technology. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

By uploading photos or videos as part of your booking, you grant Moverly a limited licence to use that content solely for the purpose of facilitating your move. We will not use your uploaded images for marketing purposes without your separate consent.

Privacy and data

Your privacy matters to us. How we collect, use, and protect your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using Moverly, you agree to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may send you booking confirmations, updates, and service-related communications via WhatsApp, SMS, or email using the contact details you provide at booking. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

Changes to these terms

Moverly may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page.

Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to an update, you should stop using the platform.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
